Another week down. We had a holiday this week (Monday), so I did my long run — a 10-miler — then, rather than last Saturday. It made the rest of my runs feel sloggish this week, so I took it kind of easy.
I also reevaluated my training plan and adjusted a few runs. The speed work I was planning just didn’t seem practical for a working mom like me — mostly because I would be doing it at night. Those runs take up more time and to do seven miles of speed work on a Monday or Tuesday would mean I would be running until 10 p.m. — and that just doesn’t make me happy. And it’s supposed to be fun, right? Well, mostly fun.
New plan is outlined below. I think it’s doable, but I just have to realize I’m going to have weeks when it’s harder because of lack of energy, busy schedules, etc.
How do you balance your training plan with the rest of your life, especially when you’re tired?
