About our blog:
Making It Daily is a shared blog. In 2013, Claire, KHP and Kristen R. launched this blog as a way to track ourselves as we tackled three different 365 projects:
Claire: Wrote every day
KHP: Made art every day
Kristen R: Ran every dayWe did these things every day for one full year. And now, we use this blog as a way to stay connected to another.
Although we still each carve out a little time every week to do these things, we take turns posting occasionally. We're busy working moms, partners, runners, writers, artists and more -- just trying to make it daily.
Got a passion? Join us in making it daily.

Kristen R: Along the Way You Do Your Very Best
Another busy week in my house, but I’m juggling the running — mostly. I had to cut Tuesday’s speed work short. My 7-year-old had to test for her next tae kwon do belt, so I took her that evening and … Continue reading

KHP – Ready for the Show
I spent the day framing my little heart out trying to get ready to drop my prints off at the gallery for two shows with Penn’s Wood Printmakers. I am so thrilled to have an opportunity to show my work … Continue reading

Claire: In It
I’m sitting on an uncomfortable bench at my daughter’s gymnastics center. There’s no room on the uncomfortable benches in front of the window where you can attempt to find your child somewhere in the rainbow of leotards among the hundred … Continue reading

Kristen R: Training Week 12 – The Speed Demon
Let me be clear: I am not the speed demon. If you’ve been following along, you know well and good that I am not the speediest of runners. But my 7-year-old? The girl is fast. So fast, in fact, that … Continue reading

KHP – Good News and Bad News
Just a quick update tonight. The good news, I am spending today getting my final prints made and framed for a group show coming up this week. It will be great to get my work out in our local community. … Continue reading

Claire: The Perfect Mother
Kristen shared this link about loving the “bad mother” in you on Facebook today, and these lines struck the writer in me: “You no doubt have an image of ‘the perfect mother’ in your mind. Describe her in as much … Continue reading

Kristen R: Running schizophrenia? Just move on
I was all set to write about the low mileage week I’m having. My plan was to confess that I haven’t stuck to my training schedule because of mental and physical fatigue; I was going to ponder why I’ve hit … Continue reading

KHP – Happy Birthday to me, Dammit I am 40. How did that Happen?
Today I turn the Big 4-0. I am not sure how 4 decades crossed my path but they have. Just like every birthday that has passed, I don’t think I feel any older and unfortunately I don’t feel much wiser. … Continue reading

Claire: Full Disclosure
I have been totally lame in the writer’s department lately, and I apologize for it. The writer’s block continues. It might be a direct relationship between the amount of other people’s writing that I’ve had to read and respond to; … Continue reading
Kristen R: The Bits are Back – ENERGYbits!
A while back, I was sent a sample of ENERGYbits to review. My review was fairly neutral, which is about how I would chalk up the run I had the day I tried them. I remember that run because it … Continue reading
