About our blog:
Making It Daily is a shared blog. In 2013, Claire, KHP and Kristen R. launched this blog as a way to track ourselves as we tackled three different 365 projects:
Claire: Wrote every day
KHP: Made art every day
Kristen R: Ran every dayWe did these things every day for one full year. And now, we use this blog as a way to stay connected to another.
Although we still each carve out a little time every week to do these things, we take turns posting occasionally. We're busy working moms, partners, runners, writers, artists and more -- just trying to make it daily.
Got a passion? Join us in making it daily.

KHP – Good Things in Color
Spring has come to town bringing an oddly warm batch of weather. The girls played in the sprinkler as I worked with my computer in my lap. I was enjoying the shade during a ninety-degree day as the girls splashed … Continue reading

KHP – Progress
I am sitting here in a pile of papers with too many windows opened on my computer. This typically means I am drowning in work. I am but I am finally seeing daylight at the end of the tunnel. … Continue reading

KHP – The Plate Process
I began carving another print this week. It has been a very slow process trying to find a drawing and composition that I wanted to work on for this project. This has been quite an interesting process as I have … Continue reading

KHP – A Beginning
My husband turned 40 on Friday just a half a year before I cross over that line. We have been together since we were in our early twenties. We have negotiated many stressful times; we have supported each other through … Continue reading

KHP – Back to the Drawing Board
This is my Sunday quickie, to steal KR’s term. This week has been a busy one here in Central PA. We have had meetings, running, teaching, soccer, sickness, more sickness, Valentine’s Day, my husband out of town and appointments. I … Continue reading

KHP – Adieu January
We close our first month of an exciting project and commitment to one another. It is so strange how the project has evolved and my daily perception has changed in this short time. It was a hard start, stressing out … Continue reading
